What we should do when our pets are sick

1. Provide your pet with a good environment first

By giving your pet a quiet, warm, comfortable and airy environment, you are giving your pet a good environment in which to recuperate from their illness.

2. Keep your pet's body temperature up at all times

If your pet is at risk of losing its temperature, consider keeping it warm by covering it with a quilt, covering it with aluminium foil, etc. Consider supplementing the temperature with a small sun, baby warmer, hot water bottle or even air conditioning.

3. Regulate your pet's stomach and intestines

If your pet is suffering from indigestion or anorexia, consider feeding your pet probiotics to regulate his or her gut. Of course, probiotics need to be fed separately from antibiotics to prevent them from cancelling each other out.

4Adequate food and water

The pet's appetite is generally poor and it rarely eats, but if it doesn't eat, it has less strength to fight the disease. Therefore, it is recommended that during a pet's illness, even if the pet does not want to eat, it should always have sufficient food and water in the cage to ensure that the pet can eat a little at any time.

5Supplement sufficient nutrition

Prepare some wet food, cat strips, etc. that your pet usually likes to eat, and eat some to replenish its energy if it can eat on its own. You can also prepare some electrolytic multi-dimensional, glucose, etc., and give them to your pet by way of dunking when they are unable to eat.

7. Keep your pet company and comfort him/her

When your pet is sick and scared, what they need most is your company and comfort. If you can, try to spend as much time with them as possible, and if your pet is scared, reassure them promptly.
