Cats love cleanliness. The cleanliness of your cat's litter box directly affects whether your cat will poop messily, so today we are talking about how to clean the litter tray properly.
In short-term time: Clean the litter tray at least twice a day.
Clean the litter tray once in the morning and once in the evening that can avoid the accumulation of excrement and dirt and to keep the litter tray tidy. When the cat’s excrement comes into contact with the litter, it instantly attracts the liquid into the litter and locks the odour in place and clumps. At this point, simply scooping this litter out regularly will prevent them from contaminating the clean litter and stop the odour spreading.
In long term: Clean the litter tray completely once a month. (Change the litter regularly)
Please empty out all the old litter, use hot water, a non-special scented and mild detergent to clean the litter tray and take it to the sun to sterilise it, while other litter boxes must be prepared during the cleaning period to avoid your cat being unable to toilet.
Sprinkle with baking soda to reduce odour and keep the air fresh.
The litter tray has been cleaned, please replace it with new litter. Part of the old litter and part of the new litter can be added to retain the cat's own odour. If you sprinkle baking soda on the bottom of the basin, it is very effective in deodorising. If the litter tray is old, it is recommended to replace it with a brand new one to avoid problems with your cat's defecation behaviour.
