CUSTOM SUPPORT & SALE
In the last issue we briefly touched on four points to keep in mind when travelling with your pet. The following four points are also things you need to keep in mind when travelling with your pet.
Fifth, try to miss your pet's last meal
When a pet arrives in a new environment, its anxiety level increases and often manifests itself in the form of diarrhea, which can be a real problem. The best thing to do is to skip the last meal and give your pet a vet-prescribed motion sickness medication half an hour before travelling to ease the symptoms.
Sixth, keep your pet well watered
Pets can become dehydrated when travelling, so it is advisable to bring your pet's travel water bowl or water bottle, you can you choose to feed your pet some wet food.
Seventh, give your pet plenty of rest
During long drives, let your pet out for some fresh air and try to have some small recreational activities with your pet to ease their nerves and keep them happy. Also, pets have small bladders, so stop every two hours to let your pet walk and pee and poo on their own to avoid accidents that could affect the owner's mood.
Eighth, never leave your pet in the car unattended
Leaving your pet alone in the car can be the biggest disaster of all. Even if you go out for a few minutes, your pet is prone to panic attacks. The resulting upset will last forever and they will never enjoy the trip.
